What is CVV, CV2 and 3D Secure Password?
CVV or CV2 is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It’s a secret number that adds a layer of security to the transaction.
3D Secure password is a security mechanism put into place by VISA and MasterCard under the ‘Verified by VISA’ and ‘Mastercard SecureCode’ services respectively. It’s a password based authentication that adds an additional layer of security. The password is created by the user and must only be known to him/her.
